MORAN CENTER DEVELOPMENT TEAM WELCOMES JARED DAVIS
Former Moran Center Board Member to Serve as Major Gifts Officer

EVANSTON, IL –The Development Team at the Moran Center is delighted to announce that former Wintrust Banker Jared Davis will be joining the team in the role of Major Gifts Officer. He begins his new duties with the Moran Center on June 20, 2022.
Mr. Davis is a locally known community engagement activist who effectively promotes anti-racist behavior. By leading Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies, for situational awareness, Jared helps build cultural competencies. He has consulted on DE&I projects for Oakton Community College (Des Plaines and Skokie, IL.),the Minooka High School District (Minooka, IL.) and The Erikson Institute. Mr. Davis most recently served as an Officer and Personal Banker at Evanston Community Bank & Trust – a Wintrust Bank N.A., where he assumed the role of Operations Lead for the Wintrust Multicultural (Business Resource Group). His time in financial services focused on creating strategic partnerships, while ensuring that the needs of the community and market were being addressed, through an equity lens, at the retail level and beyond.
Mr. Davis has been passionate about serving his community in a variety of roles, including but not limited to Board of Directors positions with the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, the ETHS Foundation, the Black Business Consortium of Evanston and the Black Professionals Network of Evanston. His civic engagement also includes appointments by the Mayor to sub-committees of the Evanston City Council. As a fifth generation Evanston, Illinois resident, Jared has leveraged his experiences of owning and running four family businesses over a span of thirty-years, to help make meaningful connections.
Mr. Davis served on the Moran Center’s Board of Directors over the past year, and has always been a champion of the organization’s mission and vision. “The Moran Center is an organization that really deserves as much of my time as I can give. The story of this organization is one that should be talked about and emphasized because not enough organizations are doing the things that the Moran Center is doing and effecting change in this incredibly unique way. This is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to add value to an organization that I respect so much, doing the things that come naturally to me: connecting people and organizations with each other.”
Under the direction of Development and Communications Director Linda Tucker, Mr. Davis will be responsible for securing financial resources for Moran Center from major donors -d to include individual and corporate and utilizing best practices in reaching ambitious fundraising goals and providing excellent cultivation and stewardship for donors.
Since its founding in 1981, the Moran Center has been a champion for thousands of disinvested youth and families. The Center’s holistic, healing-centered, client-driven approach advances our vision of a more just, racially equitable, and restorative society.
